What we do
Guyana, the “land of water” and officially the Co-operative Republic of Guyana, is the only country in South America in which English is the official language. Guyana is bordered by Venezuela, Brazil, and Suriname. The country was a colony of the Netherlands until 1814 and subsequently became a colony of the United Kingdom. As of 1966, Guyana achieved independence from the United Kingdom. Guyana is home to fertile agricultural lands and abundant natural resources. Gold, bauxite, sugar, rice, timber, oil, and shrimp are among its leading exports.
Grant Thornton does not have a physical office in Guyana at this moment. However, the country is serviced by the partners, directors, and staff of our Grant Thornton office in Aruba. Our team is knowledgeable and has ample experience in the various tax policies and legislation of the Caribbean territories. At Grant Thornton, we deliver solutions to all business challenges. We are committed to going beyond for our clients. Our people make it their priority to listen carefully to your needs in order to provide you with the highest level of quality. Cross departments, we operate as one team to help your business thrive. This way you can rest assured that you will always receive a complete service from us.
